Shared Parts

I believe the only shared components between the XLR and the Corvette are the chassis and maybe the transmission. As far as composite materials, the fenders & quarter panels are SMC - Sheet Molded Compound. The hood, doors, and truck lid are fiberglass and the roof is a magnesium/aluminum alloy.

IIRC, there are some others. I seem to remember the standard XLR front wheel bearings being off a C5 Z06, at one point, and the V having some Corvette brake parts.

Never seen a full listing of shared parts.

All of the exterior body panels; roof, hood, door skins, fenders rear quarter panels are made of SMC (sheet molding compound). The panels are a little thicker on the XLR than the panels on the Corvette.
Here is some info on the roof and deck lid material;

Exactly what part of the XLR is shared with Corvette, and, what parts of the XLR are composite materials?

Many parts big and small are shared; hydroformed frame rails, 6spd transmission, fuel tanks, differentials, axles, hub bearings, exterior door pads, torque tube, floor pans and some electronics to name a few.
