a new problem has occurred when ever i wash my car the top wont go down for at least a day .. i suspect water is getting in a connection was wondering if there were others with the same problem

I think you're right about the water getting where it shouldn't and I would recommend not washing the car until you stop that from happening. I don't know the exact location of your problem but if you fry that controller in the trunk your wallet will get a lot lighter. I have no experience with that but I have read some posts about that happening. Search " convertible top module"
