Never thought I would have my XLR-V out in the snow. Just goes to show never say never.

Here it is on top of 3" of snow/ice. It took a very light touch of the throttle and brake. Even on dry roads the summer tires did not like the 15 degree temperature. Not recommended.

On the way to the paint shop :)

What needed to be painted??? Seriously, I couldn't get mine out of the garage if I wanted to...

What needed to be painted???

Long story, Started with a clear coat bubble on the door. $1100, two trips and months later at the WRONG shop left with two different colors, misaligned panels, over spray, etc etc.

Having the entire car done with some custom work at a very known and proven shop.

I really didn't think I could either. I have to go around a turn and up a hill coming out of the garage. There was just enough snow for traction on top of the ice and the temperature was low enough so there was no melting. A few degrees warmer and forget it. So I had a narrow window to work in. There was also a problem getting into the shop. There were cars there completed but not able to get home due to road conditions for a month!

Candied near stock color with some special flakes.
Painted badging
Thinking about a subtle small gold leaf stripe below the candy.
Ghosted Crest and V symbol.

Maybe more as the inspiration comes.
