Help! the metal plate around the automatic Shift

I have a 2007 XLR and ther are a few dents in the metal plate around the automatic Shift. Has anyone had this replaced, if so what was the cost. Is it hard to remove?

I have the same thing going on... the only fix is to replace the entire console. The plate is not available separately. I believe the console is over $1000 list. If you would PM me your VIN, I can check what my cost would be and let you know. I opted to just live with the dents, etc.

Is your cost less than the dealer would charge?

Then ther is a installation cost also. right?

I have a faint dent on mine. That was something I was worried about when I purchased the car. Car was flawless except that faint dent in the counsel that stairs at me every time I get in. Now that I know the ridiculous cost to replace I'm gonna look into paint less dent removal I've seen them do wonders on a truck I had. Is the backside exposed for the most part?

thats a good idea. i have a strong suction from my gps that i used to remove minor dents, i think il give it a try, they sell suction dent pullers at auto supply strore.

Not sure if the backside is exposed or not. Probably doesn't matter, good PDR guys have the right tools for the job.

Yes... the dealer would charge list price. I get somewhat of a discount since I own an automobile business.
