Tires

At least they did not damange my rocker panels as Cadillac did the week before when they raised it up. Yes they had the car for a week while they got in a new set of rockers and installed them.

I know exactly how you feel, when they did my engine rebuild they damaged my rocker panels.

19 inch?...what is the largest that will fit on a stock rim?

"OEM Michelins" is a great start but which one and whut size??

Stella,......
The Standard "05-06" 18X8-1/2 Corvette wheel is a direct fit/replacement for the boring OEM XLR wheel and looks soooo much better.
I'm not sure about the 19's as I made-up my mind to keep-em' all the same for rotation purposes.
Yeah,....not quite as sexy but that's MY choice, not that I've been VERY Tempted.
Surely there's someone out there that has made this move,..........!

19s must fit the XLR as they are on the V version. When I go to replace the p235/45/19 front and p255/40/19 rear, wondering if there is wider profile available and what will fit the stock rim

Getting my Michelin Pilot HX MXM4 ZP put on this week... I'll report back on how nice (or bad) they are. Costco has a $70 rebate on Michelin tires starting September 13, so will wait until uhen.

Got the Michelins installed. Took a drive across the Beartooth Highway and back over the Chief Joseph Highway. It seems like the Michelin's have stiffer sidewalls than the Goodyear RS-A that they replaced as I can't corner quite as quickly as with the Goodyears. Or maybe I just have to get used to the new skins, which I plan on doing... soon.
