Help! TRUNK LID DOESN'T CLOSE

Trunk opens fine but won't close automatically. I hear the motor run on the drivers side for about 6 seconds and stops. If I push the close button again the same thing happens. The close button on the FOB and the interior close buttons don't work either. Can anyone help?

ricklep52, That happened to me a number of years ago. I put the trunk down manually and then it worked. Then I put the top down and then up and everything was fine.

put down the top and the trunk lid closed on it's own haven't tried anything else yet, top still down fingers crossed

So now put the top up and see if everything is OK. If everything works as advertised open the trunk and then close it and see what happens. I will not be surprised if it works.
