Hi All,

I purchased an 07 Xenon Blue XLR in June of this year - love the car!

I've noticed on first start up that if I drive away after my typical 1 to 1.5 minutes I seem to get some engine noise, like there is not enough lubrication. This is driving away slowly and not letting the revs go above 1750rpms. The other day I let it warm up a full 3 minutes and it seemed a little quieter. I'm using the typical 5/30 Mobil 1, level is fine. Have you guys seen this? After the engine warms this sound completely disappears. Since I've only had the car since June I haven't used it in cold weather, maybe down to 50 degrees, so I'm surprised that lubrication might be an issue.

Thanks for your help,

Doug

Have never noticed this problem with my 07. I just get in and go, no engine noise except the revs!!!

No Noise

Over the past 33 months I have put 20,000 miles on my '07 XLR. Kept in the garage at night. Coldest was probably 22 degress in the garage in early 2010 when I pulled it out to drive to work in 0 degree weather. From winter to summer, I have parked it at work and then started it after it has sat for 9 to 11 hours at temps from 0 to 105 and it ran fine. Work is on a state route and I accelerate to 50 mph after pulling out from the parking lot.
