Help! XLR Header Survey

Good luck. By the time you have themnade shipped and tariffs it would be around 3000-3500 to land here. Theres just not going to be interest at that point. Thete are many shops than can mame them herefor 1500-2000 which is still too high.

In my opinion 1500-2000 USD is cheap.

Its realative. Theres not that much to be gained unless You follow up with injectors new fuel pumps, supercharger porting. Overdrive pulley and someone that can tune it. The headers are just going to be noisey plus more heat where you already have too much . here we have to deal with keeping the cats in place. When a similiar corvette or mustang header is 500$ then 3 to 4 times is a lot of $ for no real gain. Glad to hear you are loaded as you will need it.. good luck but i highly doubt you will find buyers here.

I am not sure what you are trying to achieve by your comment. Or maybe it just is my english.
First of all I mentioned both the headers and CAI will be manufactured to my car anyway, so I´m not trying "to sell" anything. The thread has been going on for 10 years and still people are asking about headers.
In Europe the cats are mandatory as well, emission regulations are about the same level as in California.
As for the additional "work" needed for significant gain in power, I have a background in rallying, so I´m well avare the modifications needed. That said, first steps are always the intake and exhaust. If I have correctly understood with XLRV the main problem is the exhaust.
As for the tuning, I would be happy to get some info about the software, if You have any suggestions.

Lets try to be constructive about these cars, instead of negative.

You asked if there was interest in buying headers if you had extras made. I just told you the facts n what to expect. There have been about 20 people over the years going to do the same thing. Its never happened. Just being totally honest on the fact a lot of people would buy them if they were 1000-1500 and a proven improvement. I also stated that the engine was pretty well developed by GM. So aftermarket improvements dont net a whole lot of gain and must be done with the added items i mentioned to get real benefit. You are comparing a product for a massed produced cars to a vary low production car, that is like comparing charcoal to a diamond. Not trying to be mean, but they sell more mustangs in a quarter than all the XLR's ever made, so of course they are going to be a much lower price, as they can spread their costs over a thousand units, compared to 10 units sold for the XLR.

Which is exactly what i said. With thousands of mustang owners you will find a percentage that will buy headers. With xlr you will find fewer owners and a much lower percentage who want them even if they were the same price. Many mustang ownersvare young and think more noise means more power.older xlr owners know different.

No. Just stateing facts. Funny how today when facts dont match up with someones thinking they think you are opposed to it. Please ,point out anything i said that is not true. they have been made before, its not a new idea. They dyno sheets show what they did for hp. Ive spent a lot of time trying to round up the ones the d3 made that did not sale. Ive watched hundreds of cars that totaled And got parted out hoping to find one with headers that i could buy to see about getting them made .so im certainly not against them. I just know whats involved. You go right ahead and make a dozen sets and i hope you sell them. How is it against something to just state what you are facing?.when you have them ready to sell I'll direct everyone to you to buy.
