Hello All.

I've been on quite the odyssey, swapping the tired LC3 drivetrain out for an LT-4 drivetrain. I ended up using the LT-4 drivetrain out of a 2019 Z06 corvette which created some complications due to different communication protocols used between the various modules. Class -2 J1850 and lo speed CAN on the XLR and GMLAN hi speed and lo speed CAN on the Vette.

The car went to the vendor with the top fully operational and I have no reason to believe it's still not still operational. We just can't get the top module to wake up. I believe it's because messages that use to come from the XLR's ECM / TCM into the BCM are no longer there to be translated and sent by Class-2 protocol to the folding top module. That along with some other missing interdependencies and checks the top requires for safe operation.

I am hoping I can pull on the heart strings of our curious community and ask a favor. Can a tech 2 user with a working top cycle through the process of closing and opening the top and datalog the process and send me the file. This will allow me to see the exact communication pattern between the BCM and folding top module.

have a look at work performed to date at the following link.
