News: Cadillac Drive of New Models--Very Impressed

Today I went to the Cadillac Drive of new 2013 models at the Orlando, Florida International Auto Show and drove an XTS and CTS V Coupe. I thought both cars were impressive. The XTS was built for luxury and the CTS V was built for speed/power. I am a speed/power kind of guy so I appreciated hitting 60 mph in less than 4 seconds while sliding around the pre-set track. (MY guide asked that I not try to return)

In my view the new Cadillacs will be a great deal about 3 1/2 years from now. The 60 year anniversary 427 Corvettes will likely be the real winners in the future. I await the rumors of the new version of the XLR. That is the ticket for the Cadillacs and I have great faith in that future!

I went a couple of weeks ago and looked at both the XTS and ATS models. Both very impressive. Have not test drove yet but plan to in next few weeks. My company DTS needs way to much maintenance and at 102,000 miles its time to trade in. I believe there is a new BLUE color in both models.

It is great to hear you're interested in the ATS and XTS! I really like these cars myself, especially the ATS. There are blue colors available on both models, the ATS has a color called Opulent Blue Metallic and the XTS has a color called Saphire Blue Metallic. I did run a nationwide stock check of our Certified Program and unfortunately I couldn't find any XLR-Vs available. These seem to be quite popular cars. I wish I could've located something for you. Please keep in touch if you any other questions/concerns or would like to try again in the future. Stock does update and change quite consistently. I traded my 2009 DTS with 12,000 miles on it for my 2011 DTS Platinum as I knew the XTS would be smaller and only a six cylindar engine. Sat in the XTS on the showroom floor and raised the drivers seat as high as it would go and still could not see the hood. I agree the looks of the XTS are pretty good but I want to see the hood as I drive down the open road. So glad I have one of the last DTS's which is my 14th Cadillac in my lifetime and probably will be my last. '49 Cadillac Sedan, '54 Coupe Deville, '60 Convertible, '85 Seville, '91 Allante, '93 STS, '2003 DHS, '2006 SRX (6), '2006 SRX (8), '06 DTS, '06 XLR, '07 SRX, '09 DTS, '11 DTS Platinum. I do like Cadillacs

Pretty tall order, Schooley; considering only 9 Black Cherry V's were made in 2009. 7 with Cashmere interior, 1 with Ebony interior and 1 with two tone Ebony & Cashmere interior. I'm on the lookout for the two tone interior vehicle!!
