:wave:Hello to my old friends here as I haven't been here in a long while. I hope you all are well.
For personal reasons, I have not been able to enjoy my XLR-V much anymore. I can count on one hand the times she has been out the past 2 seasons. So I am considering selling to someone who...
It saddens me to see what this forum has evolved to. When I first came here over 4 years ago it was refreshingly different than most online forums. Helpful comments that were technically correct and knowledgeable were being shared routinely. The helpful intent was obvious. Subjective topics...
Beautiful day at 75 and sunny here. I went out for what may be the last of what has been a very sparse season for me. Then it happened.. The transmission would shift down when I went + with the shifter. Both + and - resulted in a downshift. Like many gremlins before I was hoping it to be...
Kind of a bittersweet day. 55 degrees and sunshine worked out well for a short drive to fill up the tank before a final cleanup and putting her to sleep for the rest of the winter.
Normally this would of happened much earlier but I was in a show last weekend.
Think Spring !
The prep is done, let the crowds begin. I'm in the Cavalcade of Customs, a 3 day ISCA indoor show that will get tens of thousands of visitors at the Cincinnati Convention Center.
The temperature was below zero on arrival (trailered :) ) Looking forward to it getting lots of attention as I'm...
I finally got around to being able to answer the question about the Mild2Wild manual exhaust control for V series exhaust draining the battery. These are measurements from my 2008. YMMV
It made no difference at any time what mode the system was left in at shut down.
There were 2 changes...
After some prodding I've made the decision to show my car this year at an indoor show at the Cincinnati Convention Center. This is a step up from your summer outdoor shows. This brings up a need for a small info sign. I know some others have discussed it before, but I'm asking if you could...
Does anyone know a source for the production numbers for 2004 and 2005 that include the interior colors like what we have for later years? I'm creating a spreadsheet with the information for all years.
Is there a way to disable the passenger airbag? Depending on how my puppy is sitting in the seat I get a nag warning to fasten the seatbelt that I doubt can be bypased, but I'm hoping there is an override to turn off the airbag??
The weather man sez 3 days of sun and high 70's/ low 80's. I've yet to get much time out yet this year so watch out!!!
New paint
New brakes
New thermostat
New blower pulley/ratio
Whee!:)
Anyone ever drop anything and have it wind up under the supercharger down in the V? I'm thinking it may just need to stay there? Think it will be a problem?
When uploading and posting an image from my computer I must use the basic uploader and do them one at a time. The default uploader does nothing when I select the "Select files" button. Is this normal? Suggestions?
BTW, does the same in both IE v.11 and Firefox v.29
After the recent repaint I don't think the inner door skins or window trim was installed correctly. There seems to be a block of rubber preventing the door liner from going completely down. I don't know if this is something that needs to be trimmed off the new rubber or not?? Here are a...
Last October my Cadillac had a major electrical problem and was towed to Joseph Cadillac in Florence, KY, the closest dealer. They determined the problem was the XM receiver, supposedly caused by an aftermarket device (Lockpick) I installed that had failed. They replaced the XM module...
Anyone ever replace the 10" woofers in the doors. I have one bad and am considering an upgrade over stock replacement. I have been told by more than one vendor that it would be very problematic. Clearances, 1ohm speaker ??, and low power in the stock amp.
Anyone :dunno:
After the new paint I have discovered that the Reverse Parking Assist lights are not working. They never light up. I realize this could be due to the xtra paint on the sensors, but wanted to ground the diagnostic connector to try and see what was up.
I went to where my manual said it was...
Going to be installing braided brake lines soon and thought it would be a good time to flush and bleed the system. Anyone have experience using either vacuum or pressure type bleeders? Recommendations or thoughts?
I've also read that using the TechII is also required (which I have) to run...
