Help! Bumper trunk key

The bumper trunk key release is striped, when I put the key in and turn it, it spins, it appears that the tumblers may be striped, it does a complete 360. Needless to say I can't program any new key fobs or open the trunk with the key. Has anyone had this problem and can you remove the key cylinder without taking the rear bumper off.

It sounds like you have a problem with trunk lock cylinder release cable. You will need to remove the rear fascia and check the cable.
