How accurate do you think the heads-up digital speedo is at speeds over a hundred ? I know the old cable drive systems had a margin of error at speeds over a hundred . Soooooooooooooo lets say - the speedo is reading 145mph is that a true speed ?

Think about it . Rayzor

There's no way to definitively answer your question accurately without compiling real-world data; any unsubstantiated opinions voiced are just that.

You need to fly past a (calibrated) radar source several times to answer this -and it only applies to one car: yours.

Completely subjective, but the HUD speed is within 1mph -/+ compared with my Garmin GPS in my Kenwood head unit. I could get one of my buddies still in LE that could radar me, but I've not been that interested. And you'd have to make several runs at different speeds for better results

I agree the Garmin is always in the same numbers on mine too, maybe a 1 mph off one way on the other. So they must be pretty accurate!

Not cheap!

Ask Cubby or a couple of others as they had their speedometers verified by radar on their way from Asheville to Charleston a few years ago! :chuckle
