Driver Position 1 & 2 buttons on the corner of the driver’s seat.

Does anyone else beside me think this was a terrible place to locate these buttons. I accidentally hit these all the time getting in and out of the car, vacuuming the car, etc.</SPAN></SPAN>

These buttons should have been on the door. </SPAN></SPAN>
I NEVER use them so I tried to relocate the switch to under the seat so the buttons would be out of my way. That is not possible as the button housing is not the snap-in variety. It is plastic welded into its plastic housing.</SPAN></SPAN>
However it is very easy to disconnect the buttons from their switch so they don’t work at all. The connector is under the seat near the buttons and will can be accessed without removing the seat. </SPAN></SPAN>

Granted, the door would have been a better location for these buttongs, but I can say that I've NEVER had a problem bumping into them where they are ...

Me either too,also. The fob buttons on the other hand is anothe kettle of fish (how's that for mixing metaphors?)

I had the same problem (buttons getting pushed in my pocket). Purchased a silicone fob cover on Ebay... no longer have the problem. Do an Ebay search - xlr fob cover - they come in several colors...

I second that! Once came out of a restaurant to find my trunk open, decided then and there I needed the silicone fob, never had a problem since.

yes several times i have gone out to the garage and found the trunk open. luckily topless baby is in the garage all the time when i am home. But i do make it a point to go out before i go to bed and check the trunk. yes it is a hassle

I guess I've been lucky so far because I haven't had that happen. I think I will check out the covers before I have the trunk open without my knowledge.

I think the key fob is my problem. One sat. Mourning I ran to menards for some electrical connectors. Parked the car at the end of the lot locked her and got my parts. Walked out of the store to see my trunk wide open. No one was around the car and I was only in there for minutes I was very surprised. Luckily their was nothing in the trunk and I don't think just anyone can figure how to get in the cab that quickly. I came to the conclusion that I must of hit the trunk button while in the pant pocket. Now I just make it a point to not figit with the fob at all. What's the distance on the transmitter is my question. One day ill check but she's packed for the winter.

With a fresh battery in the FOB, my distance is about 1/2 of a city block with the car in the garage. So maybe a block line of sight.
