Just got my engine cover back from the shop today...and I LOVE it!

I've got to detail the rest of everything under the hood then decide what else to paint and trim out.

Cool. I'm still debating on having my fuse box cover done.

you got the volant with the blue filters right? gotta get them in the picture somehow !!
how about led lights under the car?
i think its cheezy on most cars
but somehow on the xlr i think it would be cool.
i see yachts all the time with cool blue underwater lights. its not cheezy.

maybe i am just into cheezy. i did my pergola last year.
this stuff cost me about 40 bux for 30 ft of filmstrip style led's rated to ip65 or ip67, i cant recall which,
well waterproof anyway, and a power supply and a dimmer. voila.
this color would be awesome under my liquid amethyst xlr...

I definitely like the underwater glow around nicer yachts and am planning to install blue LED underglow on my XLR. I have already replaced some of the interior bulbs with blue, have gotten blue bulbs for the tag lights, and want to order blue foglight bulbs.

Now you need to do the air intake hoses in the same color combo and covers on the side engine compartments.

All great ideas and really dress up already impressive-looking cars. Corvette C6 aftermarket parts are another consideration when doing underhood mods, like fuse box (UBEC), coolant overflow, and brake fluid reservoir covers. They're available in carbon fiber and chrome and drop right in.

Nice to know! I didn't know they were the same. I did some more detailing today and added LED lights under the hood wired into the existing under-hood wiring. I wish I could get a good night picture, they REALLY make the engine cover look good at night.

Here is an updated pic with more detailing done...

YES! I like this idea. Considering doing mine in cadillac logo colors - red/gold/silver/blue - just not sure if too many colors. Maybe just silver as highlight for letters and ribs down center???

Hey Grand Daddy I was thinking about making that part I just though
I would make the main parts first but I will try and make that part to.
Here some pics. of the parts layed up now you just hope they come
out good when they pop out. Also a photo of the motor cover painted
getting ready to get a mold off of hope you guys like them. There
are not a lot of custom parts for the XLR that's why I'm making the
the carbon fiber parts for under the hood. I will keep you posted.

Thanks
