Happy 4th

Spending the 4th with friends, a simple BBQ. Then, for the 5,6, & 7, we are going to Cindy's 35th High School reunion. Should be enjoyable...

Going for a nice ride in the XLR I hope it does not rain again
best to all happy 4th

Oh yea. We'll be taking the XLR - about 4 hours one way. One section of about 2 hours is quite curvy. Hope there isn't much traffic; then again, if there is, guess they'll end up behind me anyway!!

32 years

It's our anniversary!
When we got married, DD was in a R&R band and we figured I'd always have the day off, so we'd be able to be together... well, the 4th seemed like a good idea at the time, anyway. But after the kids were born it was kind of hard to not take them to the local fireworks with their friends and all. (Didn't want them to turn Commie or anything.) Then when I started my own business, there was a trade show every year on the 4th. So... in 32 years, we've maybe been together half the time.
Tomorrow though, we will be in Avoca and I'm thinking a nice ride in the XLR would be appropriate.

Congratulations to you two, the 17th would have been my 47th if she hadn't died on Jan. 11, 1999. Her replacement (a Persian B) and I got married on July 4, 1999 and that marriage ended on Sept.18, 1999 after she emptied my bank accounts!
I won't do THAT AGAIN!
After that, I went into the 4F mode and I've been a very happy bachelor ever since.
