Help! HEADS UP STOPPED WORKING

2004 XLR Heads up stopped working adjusted dimmer up and down still no screen, (can hear whine when button is pushed up or down)
checked fuse 26 ok dimmer does work on instruments. Any ideas?? wife's car not happy.

Please forgive me for asking, but you're not using polarized sunglasses, are you? Wearing those will make the HUD disappear.

No polarized glasses, had the car since 2005 found out about the glasses first time I drove the car this just started last night.

Seriously check for a valet ticket, it eats them like candy. Happened to me, true story.

A quick dealer scan should verify what's ailing the HUD module, since you've checked the obvious. Replacement parts and labor are not cheap and involves a lot of dash work.

I looked at a bunch of online GM parts sites. The HUD is shown, but no info is given in the parts callout. . . --not a good thing as some parts availability goes away.

Thanks for the info, I'm finding that out I'll have to bite the big one and take it to the dealer to see what the problem is.
