2005 XLR

I am new to this group, but from what I have seen its a great group. I have a 2005 XLR better known as the Gray Ghost. I just love it, but having some frontend issues I hope someone can help me with. When I turn my wheels hard left or right from a stop it feels like I have a flat spot or a bad ball joint. So I have replaced the both front hubs, ball joints, tie rod ends, new tires w/new factory wheels and stabilizer links. And still having the same problem. Any ideas what I am missing ?? Thank you.

Try searching for threads referring to lifting bolts. They have been known to break causing these types of issues.

Well I don’t want to be bad news, but if it feels like a jumping chatter feeling on a locked in 4 Wheel drive vehicle, turning sharply on a dry payment it may not be in the front end at all! A few years ago I had been experiencing that type of chatter jumping feeling on very sharp turning, it end being in the rear end gear plates slipping..... thank god I had an aftermarket warranty that cover this job, because they had to drop out the whole rear end, after replacement, with some kind of new plate, it still had a tiny bit of that feel for couple of weeks , which they said was just break in time for the new plates, but it did go away completely and is perfectly fine now! Not saying this is your problem, but it was mine and I swore it felt like it was coming from the front end! Best of luck!

check it out

yeah you might want to check out changing the rear diff fluid. A lot of people have done this and its well discussed in the forums .It solves several problems

Thank you for getting back to me! But the problem is only when I first take off and I turn my wheels hard left or right. Feels like a ball joint or tie rod kind of feeling. Once I straighten the wheels it goes away. I replaced both but still doing it . Any ideas?
