Saying hello from Shreveport Louisiana area... Have always wanted one of these and one final came available at the local Cadillac Dealer. . Bought the car and was able to drive it for about 4 hours before I left for work for 21 day. Hopefully it will be all I have heard they were. Wish it was a V but think this will work for now.

Yes, been working offshore for 13 years now. On a Drillship out in Green Canyon, catch out of Galliano. I drive through that area everytime I go to and come from work, Alexandria area, HWY49

Welcome to The Club ! : )

Nice! Welcome. Wish I had your weather right now. Thought (?) it was over, Not. We are supposed to get 6" of snow tonight into tomorrow. Temp right now is 22* and it's snowing hard. Ugh :( So Goldie is again under her car cover and sequestered.

Enjoy!

He's getting some heavy weather between now and Sunday morning. Wife is driving to Coushatta casino Sunday morning, but it'll be ahead of her hopefully

It will be the May 10th before I get to drive it again so hopefully it will be nice weather. .

Welcome to our group of XLR enthusiasts! We all love our cars and share info on the care of them. Lots of great advice here, if you ever have questions: just ask!

I love Louisiana, had friends in the Youngsville, La area who recently moved to Hemphill Tx on Toledo Bend Lake which is just south of you.

Welcome to the forum. These cars of ours are great cars. But since they are built on the corvette platform I would and have invested in a trickle charger/battery tender. So when I leave for vacation weather it's a short or long one. I put it on the tender. I also invested it a flooring system. So when I left for 3 1/2 months I topped up all fluids tire pressure and added fuel stabilizer and connected the tender

Those are nice add on and upgrades. With the way I work the trickle charger is a must... Very nice car you have also..

More snow on May 20th? Yup. Ugh.

FYI, I thought this was 'over'. Not. It has been snowing here for 3 days now. Temp is 21*. We have 12" of new snow. Drifting with wind. Springtime in The Rockies = really short summers.

If you would, please explain the "flooring system"? I just don't understand the purpose or anything about it, but would like to know. Displaying my ignorance here on this. They look like interlocking tiles, right? I see the XLR Logo, and it's really nice looking! Thanks from still snowy (ugh) Colorado.

I put it down before I left for my 4 month cruise. It not only dresses up the garage but also makes it look cleaner and protects the tires from flat spots. It has also saves wear on my knees when cleaning the car. It has saved me 2 x from when I fell in between my car and the door of garage. If it wasn't for the rubber floor I would've had a big gash of blood at the back of my head. It also keeps the garage warmer instead of walking on a cold floor.

Hi Hawkeye, Thanks for the info. I have never seen anything like that. Makes lots of sense though. Really looks nice. I have seen folks put down VCT (vinyl composition tile) usually in a black and white checkerboard, but that would still be a hard surface, and would for sure have 0 insulation property. Where did you obtain material like this? It appears that they interlock with each other.

Glad you are OK! Sounds like the flooring saved you. --- St. Augustine is a beautiful place to live. If I am not mistaken it is the "oldest continuously occupied city" in The USA. I visited there some years back (prior to my XLR Cub Membership), and toured The City with some others on a company convention at the time. Really enjoyed that visit.

God Bless, Charles
