I got lucky when I finally found my V. It had 23K miles, and a remarkably blemish-free body. When I picked the car up at a Cadillac dealer in Ohio in January it was zero degrees. The car was outside waiting for me, and I just paid and hit the road...too cold for a rigorous inspection. But, when I got home to Texas and washed it and went over it carefully, I was very pleasantly surprised...the dealer had actually represented the car accurately.
My body guy, a friend, has become a certified installer for IGL Kenzo ceramic coatings, and I decided to try this system out on my car. It involves a couple days of buffing/color correction, then application of a couple coats, curing and its done. Its supposed to last 4 years for normal use vehicles...probably much longer for this car, which only will get occasional use. It looks sensational...Its about $1500., but well worth it if it keeps the car scratch and swirl-free.
