I installed a mount for my Escort under the mirror from Blendmount.
http://www.blendmount.com/corvette.html (thanks ccclarke for the info).
Blendmount said I was the first XLR and used me for testing. Their support was great.
There were a few bugs, but in the end it all works great. They provided a plastic (Delron) plate for use on Corvettes. After modifying the plate to clear our windshield water sensor, and popping the mirror off the windshield a couple times, I realized that this piece was too thick to fit between the mirror mount and the windshield and left it out. The XLR mirror bracket must be a little different, and closer to the windshield, than the C6 'Vette. This plate was intended to reduce vibration and ease installation. I just used my finger to push the foam into position and have no vibration.
The color code on the connector to the mirror, where power is obtained, is different. The pin number/location is the same.
It took some patience to install, but not too bad. I highly recommend this product even if it is a bit pricey.
