finally determined the noise I was hearing was not coming from deep inside the dash board but with the wife's help from the passenger seat, determined it was the mirror. I put a piece of foam between the moveable glass part and the base. Doesn't seem to help much, appears the base is not firmly attached to the glass. Does it slide onto some bracket that is glued to the glass? The large shop manual just says to remove the mirror grasp and twist. Fairly vague. Any advice besides take it to a expensive expert?

Thanks Rob, I really don't understand this posting thing. I know it is obvious

Thanks Rob for moving my post. As you can see I don't know how this works.
I have such a hard time finding the start a post button. I watched the help thing again, he says something about a newbie screen. Don't know where that is either.

Like most mirrors underneath all the plastic there should be a simple allen head screw holding your mirror to the windshield stud which is attached to the glass. It probably just needs a turn or 2 to tighten.

The plastic cover on Roxy keep hang now tried double face tape the Velcro don't hold it on!
Anyone had this problem or have an answer?? Thx

I just noticed this noise too the other day. Dang it's a little annoying. But goes away for awhile.
