what is everybody using on your roof seals to clean and keep them lubricated so they don't get dried out?

Cleaning: I’ve seen APC recommended. I’ve just used waterless wash and a microfiber cloth, along with a Qtip for tight spots, to gently rub & clean it (at least for spots that just washing the car won’t reach).

Lubricant: GM recommends, & I’ve seen others use both for XLR’s & other hard top convertibles, Dielectric Silicone Grease. I haven’t tried that but have tried several other products, all of which ran down when the car was washed & made a potentially staining mess on the paint. My go to now is Zaino tire gloss. It usually doesn’t run down (except when I overdid it once), & even if it does I know it won’t stain the paint, plus I can get it off with quick detailer (washing alone may not do it). It has UV protectants & doesn’t attract dirt, dust etc.

My 2 cents ...

Gummi Pflege Stift. Been using it on BMW for years .excellent product. I like the tube so you put it on a rag and gently work it into the rubbers. Keeps them soft and full If yo uuse spray., spray on a clean rag and wipe it in so you do not overload the seal. Two or three easy applications better than one heavy

thanks
