2009 Cyber Gray Metallic XLR Platinum
Hello, yesterday while driving my 2009 XLR the tire pictogram lit up (flashing for a few seconds, and then stabilized) along with the following message: SVC TIRE MONITOR.

The car has about 12,500 miles. The tires have about 50 miles on them, and all of the tires have a tire pressure of 30 psi.

Before I bring the car to a dealer for servicing, I wonder if anyone can give me an idea of what could be involved in servicing the tire monitoring system.

Thanks in advance.

If those batteries are originals in the TPM then they are at least 7 years old. Entirely possible the battery is going out. I guess it didn't throw a code did it? You need to go to somewhere there's a TECH II and run diagnostic check on the valves.

new shoes?

"The tires have about 50 miles on them",,,,,,,,,,

New tires installed? Tell us more info.......

I'm guessing,,,, the tire jock mounting a new tire damaged a 'tire sensor' inside the wheel :dunno:

Thank-you!

Thanks to both Rexstar 314 and pure zen for taking the time to respond to my inquiry. I'll let you know what the actual problem was once I have the car repaired.
