Top Went Wonky

Two days ago went out driving with the top down. Top worked as usual. Yesterday started out driveway, decided to put the top down and it stalled midway during the process. Trunk opened as usual, but that was it.
Got out the Tech II that I haven't used in over a year, re-learned the module, and saved around $150 in dealer labor fees. Top is back to normal. The front sensor I believe is going out slowly. I have a brand new one on the shelf for replacement. I think these are no longer available through GM

The clone TECH II has paid for itself over the last 2 years

I bought a new one from GM on 11-25-2017. They had plenty in stock at that time.
