what tpms should I use

2004 satin nickel
Hi.....just picked up a 2004 xlr.....there is no rpo code for tpms sensor yet tpms info turns up on DIC.....going to replace tires and want to replace tpms or at least rebuild them....any ideas what will work here is the vin................

Welcome to the best xlr forum around. Many people here that will have answers. I haven't had this issue yet though.

Try either gmpartsdirect.com or your local Cadillac dealer. 2004 models used different sensors than the other models year and the newer sensors won't work. I had an '04 and got the wrong sensor the first time.

thanks for the link ordered them from ebay 110 shiped got off easy on this one......I ordered 2 aluminium used rims as the xlr belonged to a 77 year old woman and the passenger side wheels are a little shall we say disfigured....are these wheels coated with some clear coat or can I just start polishing them as they are........4 new tires are comming this week !!!!!what a nice car xlr owners are truly very lucky to own such beauties

Yes they are polished then clear coated so don't use a polish like Mothers Mag Wheels it show on the container if the product does not turn black when rubbing not to use because they are clear coated. And at least on my 05 there is a clear coat on mine!

Before I go out and pick up a wheel cleaner again. What's the best that everyone uses here on there xlr? Mine is a 06. I forgot the brand name of the one I had before. I think it was eagle 1

I use this awesome stuff called Rejex I just bought 2 more 16oz. Bottles from Amonzon.com. They say nothing stick but the shine! But works great on the wheels and front bumper help with the summer bugs too!

I've always used Mac's Chrome Polish available at NAPA stores. Real easy to use, wipe on , wipe off, and the shine is second to none!!!
