My 2004 XLR will be stored in a garage for the cold, Wyoming winter.
I would be very appreciative to receive some suggestions on what or what NOT to do to prepare my vehicle for a four month rest. I do have a Interstate Automatic Battery Charger, Premium 900ma. It does charge and then goes to float. I plan on keeping the battery in the vehicle. I do not want to end up over-charging anything and then have problems in the spring. The vehicle will not be attended to or checked on for four plus months.
Thanks for your input - Al

1)dont keep any key fob near the car.
2)can you leave driver side window rolled down enough to allow emergency access to door release if necessary?
probably dont need to since you have charger on the batt. but good precaution.

winter storage.

image.jpgI've put my XLR down for the winter. My garage is semi heated. After preparing the car for winter I place it in this car capsule. It changes the air 4 to 5 times an hour for the four months it's siting. The car is dust free and looks as good the day I put it in after the storage. I can't say enough about this type of storage. GREAT
