A while back, I posted a thread about a "chattering" and a "Rubbing" sound/s from my differential.
I received several comments, (Thank Yewww!) mainly about changing the "Lube", sometimes necessitating several times.
I did that and achived some good results, so I decided to change it one more time,.......
I went to my GM Parts distributor and ordered a couple more Quarts.
When the order arrived, I received two Quarts of GM "Quadrasteer, Axle gear lubricant, Part #12378557.
I called the suplier and told him that I had ordered GM #88862624.
The Parts guy stated that it was the same thing and this was a "Newer Version".
Today, I decided to make the "change" and immediately noticed that the "Quadrasteer was a pinkish color as compared to the 88862624.
Both state that they meet GM requirements for Differential Clutches and have the "Limited Slip Additive" but I'm leery.
I'm gonna use it and see if there's any change.
Anyone have any info on the "Quadrasteer" Lube??
