This is a web-site featuring the original factory brochures for nearly every American car you have ever owned.

Pick the manufacturer, the year and the model. Enjoy!

Thanks

Love the brochures.. Especially seeing cars that I have owned over the years..

I always enjoy the creative writing skills. Over the years I've owned several SVT Lightning trucks. In the 2002 brochure the author talks about how the designers sourced a transmission to handle the high torque/Hp of the S/C'ed engine.

In reality, the 4R100 transmissions didn't hold up well at all in the Lightnings. Without an upgrade, they often broke trying to hold up to the HP you could easily make with bolt-on parts.

I had a Monster Box tranny built by Gregg Evans in my 2002, it ran low 12 seconds and would pull the left front tire off the street anytime it wanted.

And this from a 5,000 lb. truck with the aerodynamics of a brick.

Great post Cubby, like others, I have really enjoyed looking back at some of the cars I have owned in the past and also present. "I knew you could do it if you put your mine to it"

Just saw the xlr but none for 2006. All I saw was 05. Maybe since its late and I've been looking at threads most of the night. I over looked. Maybe a fresh look tomorrow.
