2005 XLR - Platinum with Ebony Interior
We put a new battery in my 2005 XLR about a month ago (partly to replace the hideous Interstate Battery green battery) and it was dead this morning. I'm positive there was nothing turned on and there were no warnings showing when I pulled into the garage last night. The only thing I've noticed is that occasionally I'll go out into the garage and it's sitting there with one of the windows going up-down-up-down repeatedly about the space it goes down when the door is opened. Any advice on what may be going on?
Thanks,
Diane:confused:

This may help with the battery drain;

Some customers may comment on a dead battery after the vehicle has been parked for a extended period of time. Typically, the battery will last approximately two weeks, depending on the initial state of battery charge.
<A href="http://gsi.xw.gm.com/si/showDoc.do?docSyskey=1927847&from=sm#ss2-1927847">Cause

A software anomaly within the remote control door lock receiver (RCDLR) causes an additional 30 mA draw on the battery when passive locking is enabled and the vehicle is parked.

</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>Important: Use the Pass-Thru method when programming and select "Replace and Reprogram ECU."
A new calibration has been released to correct this condition. Reprogram the RCDLR using SPS. This new service calibration is available on TIS2WEB.
Important: On Corvette models, prior to reprogramming, remove the Radio/S-Band/VICS 15-amp fuse and the HVAC/PWR SND 10-amp fuse from the I/P electrical center (passenger floor). Also, the ignition must be in the "Key On Engine Off" mode.
If the programming does not finish successfully and the RCDLR appears to be in a "locked-up" state, DO NOT turn off the ignition, it can be reset by removing the RCDLR fuse (#11 in the UBEC) for at least 30 seconds and reinstalling it. If the ignition was turned to OFF after the "locked up" condition occurred, its possible to continue programming by adding the VIN manually in TIS.
Tip
Transmitter programming and tire pressure learn procedures are NOT necessary after this reprogram.
Please refer to SI for additional information on other potential causes of battery drain.

<HR>This bulletin is being updated to add the 2007 model year and to clarify the symptoms by models. Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number 06-08-64-008 (Section 08 - Body & Accessories).

<HR>This bulletin provides information on reinitializing power windows if the side window glass does not index up or down during entry/exit (on any model listed above) and/or if the power top is inoperative (on Cadillac XLR and Chevrolet Corvette models only). On some models, the window express up/down feature also may be inoperative until the windows have been reinitialized.
The side window glass may not index and/or the power top may be inoperative because the side door window glass may not have been properly initialized or reinitialized after a loss of power. Whenever battery power has been lost or disconnected, the windows must be reinitialized. The windows must also be reinitialized after a door module has been disconnected or replaced.
Do NOT replace any parts for this condition.
Reinitialize the windows after any interruption or disconnection of battery power, following the Power Window Reinitialization procedure in SI.
