Has anyone installed Body Side Mouldings? I am not a big fan of them, but they are much nicer than door chips.

My Collision Repair shop has two profiles on a roll at about $350 installed and painted. Only certain types are paintable.

I note that the 1998-99 and possibly other Corvettes had them as an option. I have not priced those out yet. Length seems acceptable. They are a bit large in profile...

I think they would stand out like a sore thumb against the clean lines of the XLR. On the C5 Corvette they fit in the cove area. I just park far away and walk, but I don't drive mine everyday either.
Good luck.

side mouldings

I would not put them on my car. I think what I like about the XLR are it's clean uncluttered lines, unlike the front fender vents on the 09. just my 2cts.

I gotta agree with others here! I'm very protective in parking lots that I park in open areas on right at curb corner to stay away from the other cars! Some people have respect for our baby's, but than there others would slam their door into ours because we have a nice car and don't !

If you like them then okay, but I wouldn't put them on. I think that they would ruin the clean aesthetics of the XLR. I would just try to park away from other cars.

I am in total agreement with the other that have posted. I even took all the emblems off the sides of my XLR, because I thought they broke up the clean lines...
