headlight bulbs

Hey

How long do the Headlight bulbs typically last? I notice they are a bit pricey. Which brand is the best . Trying to decide. Phillips....GE.....Wagner .....Mine are not out, just thinking preventative. My X is an '06.

My XLR still have its original headlights bulbs, would they be to replaced one day.... of course as per many electrical components of this car.

If it happens to your car or you would like to change them as preventions, if you wants some more power full bulbs, the ballasts ( let say 55 watts ) will have to be changed also with some 55 watts bulbs.$$$$$

With the present OEM equipment the Color (from white, pure white and so on) can be increased over 8000K... the 6000K is the most popular sold.
If you decide to do this change, why not replacing the regular bulbs to the led ones, when the headlight is removed.

The present ballast is a 85 volts / 35 watts with a 4300K white color temperature.

I beleive that the present OEM bulbs are made by Phillips and called D1S xenon bulb.
