Any owners in Missouri? I will be almost right in the middle of it in a town called Warsaw.

What the hell is in Warsaw?

That is a beautiful area. I have had some trade shows at Tan Tara in the Lake Of The Ozarks area. On a funny note: right by the dam, is "The Dam Flea Market". Never been, but I get a kick out of the name. There is also a restaurant/bar in the area named Wobbly Boots, they have fantastic BBQ....

You will be there in time to get settled in before Fall. When the leaves change color, the roads around the lakes and in the mountains are GREAT!!

Family.

I haven't lived there in 30 years, but my Father turned 70 this year and still gets around pretty well, but let's be honest no one lives forever.

I don't want to be one of those sons that say "I wish I could have spent more time with him" after he leaves this world.

The first word of your statement says it all....Family. It's the most important part of your life. And you are right about spending time with your father. I not only spent time with mine, but worked for him until he retired. His time here was cut short, but I spent all the time I could with him before he was gone.

Enjoy the time you have with Family---Life is too short!!

I am doing the same thing with my mom, She got sick a while back so I moved back home from Austin, TX. After 30 years, home looks different, but family is family. Mom's in better shape than I am now so we're enjoying our time together.

Dockery .... soon Warsaw will be known as..... 'there's a guy with a Cadillac XLR that lives over there in Warsaw" .....

I have relatives in Belle, St. Louis, Lake of the Ozarks, and several other small towns around there.

We also have a forum member who lives in MO in Smithville ... GALEN .... on Labor Day he is going to open his vineyard that he and Leinda and the rest of the FAMILY have been creating for a couple of years now .... those of you who know Galen, know that he is an original member of The Club .... nice, nice guy .... The name of his vineyard is Ladoga Vineyard & Winery .... if you get a chance, stop by and say 'hey' .... I know he would be thrilled!

My wife an I were planning on going "low profile". But with a town of 2,000 i would say we are going to miss that mark.

They are already talking about the house we are building, LOL.

As a neat twist, my Father and his wife are coming up to drive a car. I am going to have them drive the XLR, as payback for all the times he lets me drive his 1966 Buick Rivera I grew up with.

I wonder if i will ever get it back.

Your dad is ONLY 70 .... that's just a few years my senior .... I would say you are going to be lucky if you get your car back :D

You're right, no one lives FOREVER ... but hey, really .... that's not old. Heck, Ray is still working as a sheriff half-time ... and I'd hate like hell to run into him if I was a perp.

No he is not ready to go yet, which is why I want to be there before hand, or if something happens.

I can't wait to see him drive it. He'll have a blast :)
