PS.....the left turn signal clicks twice as fast as the right turn. Maybe that fact will help those of you who know about these modern cars.
That would normally indicate a burned out bulb as there is less resistance in the circuit. Not sure on these taillights, are they LEDs? If so do you have to change the whole unit?
That's the big problem I have with led bulbs. Yes their nice, compact etc. they say they last forever yeah right. Now instead of buying a three dollar bulb to fix the problem. You have to spend probably 500 for a new assembly. How is that better?![]()
I see led brake lights out all the time and just one bulb or two out of the whole strip. Looks terrible, and not many options to fix. I know my brakes arnt lite for 50,000 hours? Seems like we went backwards instead of forward. Can't they use pin sockets so they can be replaced![]()
Im sure they can because it be no different then the license plate bulbs there is one on each side, but why would they! Then they can't rip us off for a whole unit!!!

Thanks for all the links, friends. I might suck it up and go to a dealer or a mechanic that can hook up whatever they hook up to see what the deal is. The more I look, the more it seems that the right side is way too bright as a tail light as well. So, perhaps the two are somehow messing each other up. Going on a road trip for the next week. Say some "XLR prayers" for me. Pretty much all of my driving will be in daylight hours, so the dim tail light won't be a hazard. When I return, I'll deal with this issue and make sure to post the results of what the dealer or my mechanic figures out so this issue can be logged on the site and a help to the next person who has this trouble.
Thanks!

Thanks for those detailed directions, CNC. I am going to make that a project when I get back from my road trip next week. That actually sounds easier than when I replaced the clock on my '76 Eldorado (getting into the dash on those is a real PITA), or the ABS pump on my '91 Allante.
You're positive a new assembly will do the trick?
