In 2004 the price was $75,000. There were no charges for any specific color. XM radio was the only option available. All cars came with the antenna and connection in the trunk and the buyer had the option of having the dealer install the XM radio antenna if they wished to.

There hasn't been a regional meeting that I know of. Several of us did get together on a couple of ocassions in the LA area and go the weekly cruise night at Bob's Big Boy in Burbank. Just informal gatherings of XLR owners.

Thanks. Even though we don't currently have an XLR, we have met many great friends. We will still try to make some events and will always be reading and watching on the forum.

After seeing your post I found a 60th Anniversary Grand Sport convertible at a dealer in Dallas. We came to Dallas for a car show and the dealer gave us a great deal so I traded in my 2009 XLR for it. The new Corvette has the interior features of the XLR

Jean and I are now Honorary Members of the forum. We no longer own a XLR. I just traded my 2009 for the new 60th Anniversary Corvette Grand Sport convertible. Got a deal in Dallas that was too good to pass up. The new Corvette now has the interior features of the XLR.

After long consideratio, we have decided to sell Jean's 2008 XLR. It is a garage kept, dealer maintained car with only 18,400 miles. As some forum members may remember, Jean picked up this car in Bowling Green at Rendezvous II in 2007. Cadillac installed the polished chrome grill and wheels...

Jean and I just ran out to California for a few days. We met up with Jetboy in Anaheim and visited Disneyland and Californa Adventure. On Friday we drove to Burbank and did the weekly cruise night at Bob's Big Boy. A lot of nice local cars every week. We were invited to two more car shows...

Good luck Robert. I have had good luck here with the XLR and it usually takes a first place or runner up in its class in most shows that I have entered.

Today we attended the annual Make-A-Wish car show. About 50% of the entries were Corvettes and Camaros. Jean took a second place in the Camaro class. I entered my XLR and took first place in the modern classic category (1979 to 2013). Show raised over $8000 for charity.

Correct, they don't bolt on. They are installed in cut out openings. I would think that a body shop would need to do it.

I would guess that you could buy the vents and just make the cut outs and install them. They are just for looks and aren't functional anyway.
