LOOKING FOR SOME SIMPLE ANSWERS TO SEVERAL QUESTIONS
GETTING READY TO REPLACE A LEAKING WATER PUMP, 63K MILES

DO I NEED THE GM WATER PUMP SOCKET TOOL? OR IS IT BOLT OFF/ON, I PLAN ON REPLACING, RADIATOR CAP, HOSES, THERMOSTAT, BELTS, JUST FOR PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE, ANY TIPS ON PARTS OR REPLACEMENT, I HAVE NOT REMOVED ANYTHING YET BUT UNDERSTAND THE OVERALL SCENARIO

THANKS IN ADVANCE

Are you sure?

Are you sure it's the water pump and not the radiator?

There was an issue with some of the 2004 & 2005 radiators.

There was an issue with some of the 2004 & 2005 radiators.

I can see it visibly leaking from water pump area, no indication of radiator, hoses or thermostat housing, I live in rural Hawaii, just trying to order all needed parts and jokingly see a photo of new water pump, trying to figure out is it traditional bolt on or one that you have to have a GM socket for water pump install, I am a little confused
