Even though the weather wasn't the greatest--(had to wipe the cars down three times after each rain shower!) it was great to see our XLR friends again. It was a special event to have our West Coast MM friends fly in and surprise us all! They pulled it off perfectly!! Being we had less than our normal dozen or dozen and a half XLRs this year, we got the primo spot for the show this year, intersection of Main St. & Rangeline Road. Thank you to the ones that stayed home!

We met a couple new owners that were too late to get in this year, but promise to enter for next years event and we had to new entries that should be joining this site as well.

This is a great Midwest event and is held at the end of August every year, so keep an eye out for next years posting and join us for the fun!!

Prime location

Yes, the XLRs were in a great location this year, maybe the best spot in the show. It was a lot of fun seeing all of our XLR friends again.

More Pics

PJ made some new friends... I think there may be another Vette in my future.

She made me take this pic, too.

Really wanted to make this event: oh well, - family first! How many cars/who all made the event?

There were 8 XLRs & 2 CTS-Vs
Cubby & Supa, Chicago Dave, Gizmo & PJ, Marc & Kris, Quinn & Dave, Ruth Ann & Ray, LinSue & Butch, Eric & Schooley were all there.

Wow, looks like you guys had prime location this year. Well for display anyway, maybe not so good for tent setup. Sorry we missed this but Mariannes first grandson was born on Saturday.

It was a great spot Bob and we missed a lot of the people from years previous, but the low XLR turn out is what gave us that spot. Congrats to you and Marianne on the new grandson! I'm sure he'll be spoiled in no time!

Sounded like a great event this year. Great pictures, thanks for posting. I wish Beth and I could have made it. Congratulations to Bob and Marianne on their new grand baby! Hopefully we will make it next year.

Did anyone get any group shots with everyone in the photo?

That's a fair trade off for missing the event - congrats on the grandbaby!
