Hi Folks, I have a general question on headlights. I removed my cover today and noticed the headlights have these spiderwebs forming on the tops of the lenses. You can’t actually feel anything, but I just want to make sure it doesn’t get any worse. Wondered if anyone had any advice on a method for bringing them back to normal and also protecting them. The has been ceramic coated which is great, but can’t really say if the headlights where also done or not.

Headlights come with a coating that prevents them from turning yellow from UV damage. That clear coat breaks down over time. You can sand it off, and add a new coating (or not). If you don't re-coat them, they will turn yellow in about 2-3 years with about 2 hours of sun exposure per day.

You might consider calling local detailing shops to see if they will do this for you.

Partially correct but on 04-05 cars iys not the uv coating. Its the plastic they wete made out of. It develops litt!e chicken feet scratchs . they can run all the eay thru the plastic. Ive sanded them years ago until the cover was thin ss paper and they are still thete. They changed in 06-09. and most of them can be saved. I no longer even work on bad 04-05. ive never tru
Ied it but some people swear by the clear plastic film protection. serns like it hides some scratches. And should protect but all ive ever seen turns yellow pretty quick. ceramicoat claimd their headlight coating protects.
