HRE 543R: Testing clearances on 2007 XLR

As others have chimed-in about the vents. They are not functional although the can be if someone took the time. Me? It's not going to happen unless I had some serious cooling problems. For now it's about breaking up the sides and adding some flare to the car ( as is the case with the front and rear facia).

In other news. I arrived at the shop yesterday, but somehow I forgot to pay for my tags. Laughing out loud. Also, the shop s ordering new "XLR" emblems for the fenders. They told me that they couldn't be reused. There's a few other parts too above the radiator that were over looked that need replacing to which I will get later on.

The XLR is being re-waxed today so all is good (I hope). The coolest thing is that I saw a beautiful XLRV yesterday. I was all too excited to get mine.

I think I'd consider leaving the XLR badges off the side fenders. The vents look fantastic!!

I think even with those vents, there is to much flat area after the wheel to not have something there. I like the XLR logo in that location, but that's just me.
To me, without the logo it looks too stretched out.

Well, today I thought was the day to pic-up my XLR. It wasn't. Too many little issue caused me to back out and come back in two weeks. Maybe it's just me, but I like things to go good and today things were not good.

First off. The battery. The battery was produced in 2011 and it wouldn't hold a charge. $154 later I thought that was it, but found other things not working like those small bulbs inside the headlight. Okay, not too big of a issue, but they needed to be replaced. Better for the shop to do instead of me, right?

I brought a fresh gallon of gas since the "low fuel" came on. Okay, I was still in the game, but when the DLR didn't come on that's when I knew something else was wrong. Somehow the dash installer (different shop) forgot to plug in the sensor that is mounted in the center of the dash. So, the dash has to be removed. I was upset, but said to myself, "Today is not the day" and I left.

Anyone know if this grill will fit 05 base model with out modifications and where it can be purchased? I believe it was mentioned it was a 09 grill???

I'm not 100% sure, but it works for my 2007, so in theory it should work for the 2005. However, on eBay (right now) there is a upper & lower grill for the 2009, but it's the mesh grill style and not the style I have.
