Welcome to the Cadillac XLR Forums!

Important! New thread - Colorado Event

BTW, did you know that the Hampton Inn and the CMR are only 2.73 miles apart. That's 6 minutes according to Mapquest. It seems like it took longer than that to get from one floor to another at the Hilton in San Antonio. LOL....Can't wait to get the gang together again :grouphug:

We feel the same. We would rather be 2 1/2 mi and 6 minutes than 1400 mi and 3 days. :grouphug:

BTW - when I was reading back on the thread, I think MtRocket has booked at The Rodeway? If that's true Rod, maybe you could post your reservation info. That would be another hotel choice.

Cubby - that's great! :party A party room! Shhhh.... don't tell the Hampton about the whistle!

Pizza night???

I not only have a whistle thanks to Photo Girl I know have an AIR HORN. The Hampton in WI didn't mind the air horn or whistle.:laugh:

We haven't quite made a decision yet. I've actually been too busy to even get on here much... and then, it takes a LOOOONNGGG time to catch up on posts.

Yep, you must be busy - no joke of the day for awhile ..;)

I just want to mention that I know that rooms are at the hotels ARE booking, but that there are a few people who have decided to not yet post their final commitment for various reasons. So - just a reminder that if you are even thinking this is something and somewhere that you may decide you want to do - book your room now. The costs will go up as the hotels start to fill. If by any chance the room rates fall, you can re-book at the discounted fees - but you cannot get back "special" rates. Remember to check the discounted specials. Check with the hotels to see if they accept retired military/govt i.d's. Those are great value for the $$. Also, you can always cancel without penalty in most cases up to a couple days of the reservation -
This is going to be a great place to meet up and meet again - or for some meet for the first time. :rocker:
To see two of the hotels that are being booked right now, check the link under my signature.

I've been wondering where you have been. Been missing the jokes. Glad to hear your busy keeps you out of trouble. :)

I don't work 24 hours a day... but I don't get on the computer after work hours either. So, I still have plenty of time to get into trouble. After all, I've always thought that trouble's my middle name (kind of like you???):chuckle:chuckle

High altitude planning

I have been looking up things to do while were in Colorado Springs and came across some imformation I thought would be good to share. If you are planning on going up to Pikes Peak it is recommended you wait two to three days after your arrival in Colorado Springs to allow your body to get adjusted to the higher altitude. It appears many vistors end up with health issues when they dont.

So far there are fourteen (14) cars signed up to come to Colorful Colorado out of 16,785 possibilities. Hmmmmmmmm, you just don't know what you are missing as this is God's Country. Of course once you come it gets in your blood and then you will all want to move here and we in Colorado don't want that to happen. We would have to have a lottery to only allow a few of you to re-locate as our water supply would not support all of you. We don't mind if you come to visit for a couple of weeks so like Fred said, you better start signing up now. :chuckle:chuckle:chuckle

I was so looking forward to getting to know you and Ingrid. It's still a long way off - maybe you will be able to work it out down line.

Meanwhile, I hope you guys are still planning on coming in to SD for your Barona trip. Let us know .... we would love to meet you for dinner .... and BTW .... we never talk politics ... LOL ....
