Oil leak survey

I had the same smelly problem and a small leak. I used Blue Devil Oil Stop Leak. It took 2 applications and several hundred miles before the smell went away. There is still a tiny leak and I find stains on the floor near the front of the engine. Mechanic says it is cam positioners. I can live with the nuisance.

After cleaning the oil pan and surrounding area with brake cleaner, an oil spot appeared on the front passenger side of the pan two days later - photo attached. Just looking to zero in on where the trouble spot might be. Thanks for your help.
