The track was very wet @ the start. I don't know how they could see anything.

Those photos are really fantastic. Thanks so much for posting them. Sorry about the rain, though.

Thanks Bruce. I hope that you have dried out by now. We watched some of the coverage just before heading out to the MAM Corvette show. We had issues with rain too!

Great pictures Bruce & Kathy.

As Bob said we watched some of the coverage before heading out. They replayed the crash of Sharp right before we left. 6.42 seconds of tumbling before it stopped!!!! They also showed the team basically building a new car for the next day!! It was reported only 10% of the old car's parts were usable. Looks like you guys had a great time, even with the rain. See you all in a couple weeks!!!!

Yes, Charley was there. Her and Jim bought some stuff @ Johnny's auction. Tom and Stevie asked about you.

Looks like you had a wonderful time.

Fred

We did. We have always enjoyed this race. It would have been nice if the weather was better. It sure did change quickly, hot and humid to cool and rainy in a matter of hours. We felt bad for Quinn and DD. They had a long trip down and then the race was red flagged. It would have been nice if their first Petit LeMans was better.

That part of the country is so beautiful, we need to get RA and Ray down there sometime.

Nice pic's B&K ...
Where were you standing by those barriers?

We were standing on the back of golf carts in Turn 6. It's probably the closest place you can get to the track, without having to shoot through chain link fences.
There was a spectator with a radar gun standing in this area and the Corvettes were clocked at 126 mph coming into Turn 6. The Prototypes were 30-40 miles an hour faster than that. WOW!

Those are really good action shots .... I'm glad that you and your camera have bonded so well ... great pictures .... again! Thanks, K.
