I just went on the pirelli tire site and found they do not list a run flat tire for our car!
Has anyone found an alternative, either by size or make?
TIA Rusty 06-V

I've already researched this. The V's are 19" tires and Bridgestone doesn't make the size for the V's.

Rusty,
I am going to be in the market soon for tires as well. Since I haven't been able to find a suitable replacement in run flats, I am considering a non run flat. If you are looking for strictly high performance tires, I recently put Bridgestone RE-11's on my CTS-V Coupe. Very happy with them so far--much than the Michelin Pilot Sports it came with. Have also looked at Yokohama S.drive in a non staggered setup. HTH's

Sorry, DriveGuard doesn't fit your car!

The same comes up for the rears!

Run Flats

Ya, I got this response to my inquiry, for rears:

[h=3]SORRY, DRIVEGUARD DOESN'T FIT YOUR CAr

I am currently running Michelin Pilot Sports X on the rear and OEM run flats on front.

Run Flats

One might expect GM or at least Cadillac would see to it we were not stranded with a car with no spare tire stowage and no run flat tire options ................ for a customer that spent 100 grand for thier halo product !!!
Much disappointed in GM!

Bridgestone S04 do come in 255/40-19. Not as soft as the RE-11, but not too shabby. IMHO I prefer the S04 over the more expensive RE050 also available in this size. I wish the RE-11 was available in this size.

I'm running Michelin HMX4 run flats and am VERY happy with the ride, not to mention the peace of mind. Not sure if they're available for a V, though. I purchased them at Costco for a fairly good price, 4 tires ran me $1025, mounted, balanced and filled with nitrogen.

Found this on tire rack.com.

Tire Rack says the Bridgestone Driveguard comes in the 235/50RF18.

This is right off of the Driveguard web site

Sorry, didn't see the requirement for 19". For those of us with 18's all around, it looks like this might be an alternative.

Rusty
I went with Michelin Pilot Super Sport Tire they are not Runflats and not all season tread, more of a summer tread, they are a high performance tire very sticky and lots of rubber tire to grab the road! Expensive tire for 30 k tire, also mine are 18" so don't know if they come in 19" They ran $1120 all 4 on the car!
Yes I do love them!
Hope this helps & good luck!

V Tire Options

Rusty,
I applaud you for putting your thread in the V series forum section. However it seems you are getting more response from non V owners, who obviously don't know the V'S have 19" rims and staggered mounted tires. Granted you don't need to use the staggered sizes, but they still need to be 19" tires. Hopefully the non V owners will read this.

Good luck in your search. PM me and let me know what you decide on, as I will be looking as well.

Victor will be coming up on tires soon and I found the Pirelli P Zero Run Flat on Tire Rack. They don't make the front OEM size anymore but they still make the rear. If you search by vehicle, it won't pull up the run flats because the fronts aren't available.

If you do a search on TIRES-BRANDS-PIRELLI then pick Pirelli P Zero Run Flat there's a drop down for sizes.

XLR-V
OEM 235/45R19 Front (not available) instead 245/45R19
OEM 255/40R19 Rear

I know there has been other V owners put the rear tire size in all 4 corners and said they didn't have any problems with rubbing. If the 255 will work on the front then the 245 shouldn't be a problem.

Cubby, take a look a look at the above links and let me know what you think.

Mike, They appear to be close in size, a little bit larger diameter. Don't know if the speed rating is the same and don't seem to be a high mileage tire at a 220 rating. You may want to do 255 all the way around and give you the ability to rotate the tires. I'll be needing tires this fall as well and haven't decided what I'm going to do yet.
