So I was under the belief that only the 2007 - 2009 Cadillac XLR-Vs received engine builder name plates on the engine. However, a friend of mine who has been talking with one of the engine builder at the Wixom plant received the following information:

I asked about this and was told that all XLR-V engines that we did had a nameplate on when leaving our plant, regardless of model year. Wixom has always used nameplates on all engines except for long blocks built for SPO.

Can anyone with a 2006 XLR-V confirm this?

Nope no engine plate, but don't take my word for it (engine's been dismantled a few times).

Got Scarlett-V out of storage yesterday and can confirm no engine builder plate on my '06. :(

Rob,

Per your PM can you find out where the EUN # is located.

Rob,

Per your PM can you find out where the EUN # is located.

The Engine Number is on bar code label that's located on one of the cylinder heads.
