You're so close - it would be a shame if you missed it. The cars are awesome, but the people that own them, much more so ..... we've been meeting up and caravaning with forum members to different locations for 5 years ... all the way from San Diego .... it's so worth it .... Save the date. :rocker:

Thank you all for the kind comments. It is a lot of work but the friendships and memories that have been created are invaluable.

Always room for more!

Bob

Awww - looks like my midwest vacation is not going to line up with BobFest this year - IF I make it back there it is going to be much earlier in the summer.

Bob & Paula, I have seen and been so happy to be part of, at the least, last year's wonderful FEST ..... You guys really pour your hearts and soul into the event and create the most fun for this group ....

I know this event will be even better than before because you are going to have so many newbies for the 'old timer's' to break in ... :chuckle

So - I'll just have to enjoy it virtually here through the forum ... :pat:

Rusty,

Sign up for the CLUB Weekend - put "Midwest XLR Club" down as your club; that is what we go under at MAM.

Funfest/Bobfest

Well, registered for Funfest, made my res at the Holiday Inn for 14th - 16th Since there were only a few block rooms set aside for the 13th, I assumed the caravan to funfest was to be the 14th or 15th?? I didn't see any date for the Bobfest.... assume that is the 15th? If not, someone please straighten me out on these dates. Also when I reg. for funfest-club I saw no place to depict what club, so I am just registered with no sepecific club.
That's my story.............

Rusty,

That's great - glad you will be able to join us in Sept. Yes, Bobfest is the evening of Saturday, Sept. 15th. We generally get together Friday afternoon at Bob's place, then we go out to dinner (Bob & Paula have a nice place they get reserved for us XLR folks). Saturday morning we meet at Bob's for car "clean up" and some coffee/donuts, before we caravan down to Funfest (about a 30 minute drive). We spend the day at Funfest, then we all caravan back to Bob's late in the afternoon and have an awesome party at Bob's. Its a great, great time.
Give MAM a call when you get a moment - they can put you with the Midwest XLR Club on your registration (I think you were supposed to put what club you are with in the shipping notes of your order, when made online). But they are great to work with, I'm sure they will take care of it if you just give them a call. :rocker:

Hope this helps.

Reservations made at the Holiday Inn and for Funfest. Bob & Paula, let us know if there is anything we can do to help. We should be arriving Thursday afternoon from Branson. Steven & Diane

Bobfest Dates

September 14 thru 16

All In

Made reservations and got ticket/pass for the big Bobfest/FunFest party! I figure this will end the long summer vacation for the "white horse" and she can head back to Florida when this ends. Looking like I may get talked into trying to make the Bengles game on Sunday, September 16th before pointing her South for the winter. Any one else interested; we can meet at the Cadillac Ranch for Pre-game!

I missed this last year due to an unexpected and rare for me illness. Hope all works out this time!

Steve

How about a count? There are some veterans that are not able to come this year but we have many new folks. How about it?

Any menu requests? Last year we had ribs, chicken, home made ice cream, and smoked salmon. It all disappeared pretty quick. OK to repeat?

Bob, the food last year was awesome!!!, OK to repeat.
I hope many of you join in on the fun @ MAM Funfest & Bobfest 2012. Bob & Paula put a huge amount of work into this event @ their homes & @ MAM Funfest. Bob has worked with the people @ Mid America for the last 5 years to get the XLRs invited & displayed @ the show.
It is
THE PARTY OF THE SUMMER...YOU DON'T WANT TO MISS IT!

Thanks for the reminder, Bob. Supa & I are all set. I don't think you can top the menus you have had the last two years, so there is no sense changing it!! Please book us for our usual accomadations, please.:wave:
