We really wanted to drive on up to BobFest and see everyone again. I tried to move our trip to Branson up one week so we would be closer and able join everyone at BobFest, but we couldn't get the place we rented moved up one week earlier so we will not be able to make it this time. Sure sounds like a lot of fun. We need to start looking further ahead like we did with NCH so we can plan these things better. I know everyone will have a great time and we look forward to seeing everyone again soon.

We would like to come up again. Not sure if it is to late for hotel reservations. Is there an itinerary for the Bobfest. Last year we arrived late Saturday and almost missed you.

Hi Dave,
We would love to have you here. We reserved more rooms so there should not be a problem there.

Schedule looks like this;

Friday

Arrive in town and check into hotel or head directly to Bobfest HQ anytime. Cocktail hour starts upon arrival and goes to 7PM

Dinner reservation for the entire group at Alamo in Mattoon at 7:30 PM

Return to HQ for continued "meetings" and last minute executive decisions along with your favorite refreshments. Gary should be there to start BBQ rig

Saturday.

Up as early as you are able. I think that Paula is preparing breakfast. Car washing by the guys.

About 10AM caravan to MAM

MAM show until we are tired or about 5PM. Head to Bobfest for the main event. Dinner by Coaches Cooking Team and fireworks by Kevin and Nick

Sunday

Breakfast at the Airport Steakhouse prior to departure

We do have a hotel room reserved at the HIexp, but I am waiting to hear from my best friend from high school. She's coming to Wisconsin from Seattle that week and we haven't finalized our plans to get together with some of "the girls" from school. :party

So I'm still not sure that David and I can come to Bob's.

But, if we aren't going to use the hotel room, I will make sure to ask if anyone on the list needs it before I cancel.

Isn't it true that you either have nothing to do, or 20 things all at once. :dunno:

We couldn't make it last year, so I really, really want to get down there this time, but I also haven't seen my friend in years. - friends since 9th grade. Fought over the same boys... We were in each other's weddings

Taking a Low Blow for the Team!

So let me just pre-qualify this by saying we do have a bunch of stuff going on in the family (our son is getting married on Aug 20th, nephew 2 weeks later across the country) as well as an important business deal .........

Today I got a phone call from a promo company for the Royal Bank of Canada, I found out I won a 4 day, all expenses paid vacation to the Barbados. :worship:

Yes it was legit, I knew about the contest before, you received one chance for every purchase on your VISA Avion card.
Anyway, the departure dates were September 14th or 15th only. :pukeface:

......Yes I could cancel my hotel for Bobfest, and registration for the show was relatively cheap, so no big loss VS an 'all expence paid trip'! ..... but miss out on taking the XLR on a road trip and meeting all of you? :pat:
