After watching some dyno #'s from HorsePower TV... I decided to do some research and found this article:

I'm not entirely certain it makes much of a performance difference, but their emissions tests seem to be sound - so at the very least my car is now running cleaner :)

E3 part number for XLR-V 4.4L - "E3.53"

Videos - http://www.e3sparkplugs.com/mediacenter.php (the 2nd one is the one I saw on TV).

Old plug - after 17k miles:

How do you "set the gap" on plugs with so much metal on the ends?

Just for reference - the BASE XLR's use the E3.54 part number. My '05 has been having misfire issues, I am going to install these this weekend (219K miles). I have gone through a few ignition coils over the last year or so. Maybe its the spark plugs. We'll see. (have not driven the XLR's much this year, obviously).

Hope everyone is well and staying safe.:wave:

Interesting... my 06 V has 38k miles on it and I've had to change out 2 of the coils this year... I wonder if they just age with time?
