After owning a triple black 98 Corvette convertible for 13 years, it was decided that it was time for something really different. Very few cars fit that requirement better than an XLR. Our XLR has turned more heads in the short time that we have owned it (less than 1 year) than the Vette did in many years. We found a low mileage (20K) Florida vehicle last fall. After putting our stamp on it ( chrome Corvette Grand Sport wheels w/ Kumho SPT tires, Powerstop drilled & slotted brakes and Dynomax mufflers ) we feel that this beauty will bring us many years of enjoyment. Once we get the paint up to show quality finish we will be able to park next to any exotic and be proud. We are looking forward to being part of the XLR community and sharing our experiences with other XLR owners. The bluebeast.

WELCOME!!
Yep, the XLR is a headturner. We get stares all the time, and people will come up to us wanting to know what kind of car it is. They don't believe Cadillac made it at first. Everybody knows what a Vette is, few know what an XLR is.
I highly suggest that you read the forums at your leisure from start to finish. Lots of information on the little quirks these cars have and how to either live with them, or how to solve them.

As well as enjoying the attention this car brings, we have already experienced a number of the quirks you mentioned. Besides a top malfunction, we learned while dealing with a radiator cooling fan failure that when the C6 Corvette went into production there were design changes made to the XLR during the 2005 model year of production. Depending whether your vehicle vin number is before or after 1G6YV34A755600681 can be a factor in which part will fit your vehicle. Let the party begin!!!
