If you want to be exact, neither. As there are small differences between all three.
If close is good enough for you, both. As all three are very similar.
Why,why,why. If you go to ANY Parts counter what would you tell them if they asked you what chassis is it? Of course there's gonna be subtle differences.
Who cares about " four holes" that someone mentioned to you,but can't tell you what their for.

At least according to this article, interviewing Dave Hill, the XLR was designed to be the basis for the next generation Corvette. The article is from 5/26/03. The tone of this article & some others gives the feel that GM never intended to have a long production run for the XLR, & it was just a beta tester for C7 design. Such as this comment when they stopped production: “High-end vehicles tend to come and go, so it’s not unusual when you look across all the luxury makes and brands. Gucci doesn’t keep its most unique handbag season after season; it makes changes.” Quoted here: 2009 Cadillac XLR will be the last
