During the winter I noticed this as an occurrence more often than when I first purchased the car back in August.

I'll open the trunk and before I go to close it, it will close / creep shut on it's own. Anyone have a similar experience ever and if so what was the repair?

It's time to change the lift cylinders. Part number 88957084 qty 2. Not too hard to change, just need somebody to hold up the trunk lid while you change them.
These are not the hydraulic cylinders.

Gas Struts

Thanks for the post, I wouldn't have guessed the trunk was held up by gas struts once all the work was done by the hydraulics.

I should have taken a closer look, thanks again.
